Where benefits administration usually breaks

The new hire who was never added

An employee goes to the doctor and learns they were never sent to the carrier. By then the retro window may be closed.

The termination nobody closed

A former employee stays on the bill for months, and the continuation notice goes out late or not at all.

The 1095-C scramble

January arrives and someone rebuilds a year of offers, waivers and waiting periods from spreadsheets to fill out 1095-Cs.

A new hire, start to finish

From day one to carrier confirmation

  1. You add the hire. Two minutes in BenefitsDock, or forward the details to us by email.
  2. The dates are set for you. Eligibility comes from your waiting rule. The task is due two weeks before coverage starts.
  3. The employee enrolls or waives. Online, with plan highlights, cost per paycheck and an e-signature.
  4. The carrier confirms. The task closes only with proof attached, so “I think we sent it” is never the answer.

What employers ask us first

Who is BenefitsDock for?

Employers with roughly 5 to 200 employees who offer group health, dental, vision or life coverage and handle benefits with a small HR or office team. It is built and supported by a team in Corpus Christi, Texas, and offered through independent benefits agencies.

Do my employees need an account?

Only if you want them to enroll online. Employees can sign in to see their plan, read the plan summary (SBC), and enroll or waive coverage with an electronic signature. If you prefer, HR enters elections for them.

Will we have to re-enter our whole roster?

No. We load your roster, plans and current elections from your carrier paperwork and enrollment files. You review it, and you are live.

What happens when someone is hired?

You add the hire (or email us the details). BenefitsDock works out the eligibility date from your waiting-period rule, opens a task that is due two weeks before coverage starts, and keeps it open until the carrier confirms the enrollment with proof attached.

Does it handle terminations and COBRA?

Yes. A termination sets the coverage end date, opens the carrier termination task, and starts the continuation notice clock: federal COBRA for employers with 20 or more employees, Texas state continuation for smaller groups.

Is our employee data safe?

Social Security numbers are encrypted when stored, every employer sees only its own people, and access is by individual login. Screens show only the last four digits by default.
